Excellent solution and incredibly easy to implement by CCP...Which is exactly why it will not be co-opted. WAKE UP folks! CCP caters to the griefers they care not a whit for empire dwellers. Truly a black hat game.![YARRRR!!](/images/icon_pirate.gif) |

The guys who do this are not doing it to make you cry, they're doing it to loot valuable modules or extor ransom. Which is a perfectly legitimate reason to PvP someone.
Fine. I guess we need to define griefing. From the Wikipedia...
Griefers differ from typical players in that they do not play the game in order to achieve objectives defined by the game world. Instead, they seek to harass other players, causing grief. In particular, they may use tools such as stalking, hurling insults, and exploiting unintended game mechanics. Griefing as a gaming play style is not simply any action that may be considered morally incorrect. Though the staff of each online game defines griefing in a manner that best fits their game, certain criteria must be met for an action to be considered griefing. An act of griefing involves the following three types of actions to be considered grief play:[1]
* The unfair use or abuse of a game mechanic that was not intended by the game's developers. * The inability of the victim to exact some means of retribution beyond utilizing similar unintended game mechanics. * The intended purpose of an act of griefing must be to negatively impact the game play of another person.
...and If you can't grasp that, I will just have to reply in a language you can understand... (Gina Sticks out her tongue and gives Malcanis a wet raspberry!)![Laughing](/images/icon_lol.gif)

...Well I don't play the wikipedia MMO, I play EvE. So I use CCP's definition of griefing. And if you don't think that CCP deliberately allowed this use of the gang mechanics... ![Rolling Eyes](/images/icon_rolleyes.gif)
CCP's Definition of Griefing = A design feature.![Laughing](/images/icon_lol.gif)
